Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Protocol mobile application (“the App”) operated by F2R Consulting OÜ (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in Estonia. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

The Protocol is a nutrition coaching app that uses artificial intelligence to analyze meals, provide nutrition grades, and offer personalized coaching feedback. The App is a tool for general wellness and nutrition awareness.

2. Not Medical Advice

The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI-generated nutrition guidance is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider before making dietary changes, especially if you have medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, or food allergies.

If you are taking GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or similar), the App provides adapted guidance, but this does not replace your prescribing physician's recommendations.

AI analysis may contain errors. Calorie estimates, macro breakdowns, and nutrition scores are approximations based on visual analysis and should not be relied upon for medical dietary management.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Account creation (via Google Sign-In) is optional but required for cloud sync and social features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Premium subscriptions are billed through Google Play. By subscribing, you agree to Google Play's terms of sale.

  • New users receive a 7-day free trial of Premium features
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can cancel anytime through Google Play > Subscriptions
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play per their refund policy

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
  • Abuse the AI coaching system (e.g., submitting harmful, inappropriate, or non-food content)
  • Circumvent rate limits or subscription restrictions
  • Impersonate others or misuse social features

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, content, and AI coaching system are owned by F2R Consulting OÜ. Your meal data, photos, and personal information remain yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI Limitations

The App uses third-party AI services (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT) for meal analysis. These services may:

  • Produce inaccurate or incomplete nutritional estimates
  • Fail to identify all ingredients, especially allergens
  • Be temporarily unavailable due to third-party outages

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee the correctness of any AI-generated output. Always use your own judgment, especially regarding food allergies and medical dietary needs.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, F2R Consulting OÜ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from inaccurate AI analysis, dietary decisions made based on App guidance, or service interruptions.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device; cloud-synced data may be deleted.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tallinn, Estonia.
